Move into large fleets sees average size of new FleetCheck customer quadruple

A move into the large fleet market announced by FleetCheck a year ago has seen the typical size of new customers more than quadruple.

In 2024 the average number of vehicles operated by new signings was 41 but in 2025, it increased rapidly to 191.

Peter Golding, CEO at the fleet software specialist, said: “This is our 20th year in business and over that time, we’ve built a reputation as specialists in the small-medium fleet sector but the fact is we’ve always successfully supplied systems to larger fleets.

“Over recent years, we’ve had more and more interest in our technology and expertise among these users and around the time of the Commercial Vehicle Show, we finally formalised this into a product offering.

“It’s a strategy that has met with a degree of immediate success that even we have found surprising, with a number of major deals won, especially in the area of successfully replacing older, legacy systems.”

Peter explained FleetCheck had been scoring highly with these new clients in areas such as customisation, service, integrations, advanced business intelligence, and delivering for multiple departments such as fleet, finance and human resources.

“Our historical success with small-medium fleets has been based on software that is highly sophisticated but intuitive and we’ve very much taken the view that large fleets want the same approach.

“Where differences emerge are around individual requirements that require a degree of customisation, a wider range of more intensive integrations, and a higher level of service that calls for dedicated project management.

“We’re delivering strongly in all of these areas and are confident that our penetration into the larger fleet sector will continue to grow.”
