The one-millionth vehicle safety inspection using a FleetCheck app launched just over two years ago has taken place this week. The Vehicle Inspection App was unveiled at Commercial Vehicle Show in April 2017 and is designed to create the means to schedule, carry out, confirm, follow-up and audit all kinds of inspections from daily walkarounds to formal weekly or monthly checks.
Two new appointments have been made at fleet software specialist FleetCheck this week as the company continues to grow. Livvy Doman has been named as Business Development Manager, looking after relationships with the company’s current client base as well as proactively developing sales prospects for the future.
The first widespread use of artificial intelligence in fleet management is likely to be to identify common documents, predicts FleetCheck. Neil Avent, IT director at the fleet software company, explained that AI was good at looking for patterns within clearly defined boundaries, so would work well for this kind of task.
More than 200 businesses are already using a new range of online fleet tools created for members of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) by fleet software specialist FleetCheck and launched at the CV Show 2019 a month ago.
