Are you confident your external maintenance providers meet compliance standards?
As an operator, outsourcing maintenance and vehicle inspections doesn’t outsource your responsibility. Good workshops create good outcomes. Bad workshops create bad ones. But when something goes wrong, it’s you standing in front of the Traffic Commissioner – not your maintenance provider.
Ensuring your workshop is adequately equipped and work is completed to a satisfactory standard is part of your duty of care. And ignorance is no defence.
So, how do you know your workshop is up to scratch?
That’s where the Maintenance Provision Rating Scheme (MPRS) comes in.
This industry initiative, backed by the DVSA and the Office of Traffic Commissioners, gives operators visibility into workshop performance across the UK. It allows maintenance providers to demonstrate their capabilities through an independent rating system, exposing non-compliant practices that might compromise your fleet safety and operator licence.
What You Will Learn
- What the MPRS is and how it protects your operator licence
- Why good workshops matter (and how to spot bad ones)
- How the MPRS rating levels work and what they mean
- How to evaluate and select the right maintenance providers for you
- Live Q&A with industry experts
If you outsource maintenance, manage commercial vehicle inspections, or are responsible for the compliance of your fleet, this webinar will give you the confidence to make informed decisions.
